From the initial consultation with Ask MAS.co.uk it was clear to see the professionalism of the company and although AskMAS.co.uk was not the cheapest quotation received for the works required it was a general consensus from the management team to award Ask MAS.co.uk with the work.

From their arrival onsite and during the completion of the works on site, nothing was too much to ask, all appointments were made directly with the unit/building occupiers by the contractor with appointments being made to ensure no loss of productivity by the building occupiers/users.

Once the initial surveying works had been completed it was good to see that Ask MAS.co.uk took into consideration the proposed 5 year plan for the site to ensure that the asbestos management plan would best suit our needs moving forward and as the site is redeveloped.

Mark and his team are dedicated and professional within their work ethic and have provided myself and my team with great information and advice they have also help us to find suitable contractors to undertake the works and have also advised on what works could be carried out by our in house removal team.

All in all, we are extremely happy with the services provided by Ask MAS.co.uk and would have no hesitation in instructing their services for future projects.

                Acorn Environment Services Ltd

Former Pilkington Tiles Site, Rake Lane, Swinton, Clifton, Manchester M27 8LJ

Ask MAS.co.uk was instructed by the client to assist them in updating their asbestos management surveys and asbestos management plan for the multiple buildings under their control within the former Pilkington Tiles Site boundary.

Over a month-long period Ask MAS.co.uk surveying team carried out multiple inspections on a range of buildings ranging from small industrial units, to large scale manufacturing and warehousing units.

The survey work also took into consideration the external outhouse buildings and common land within the site boundary currently overseen and controlled by the client.

The asbestos management surveys were carried out promptly, discretely and with little interruption to the buildings users and as per the clients detailed specification.

On completion of the asbestos management surveys, Ask MAS.co.uk project managers held a meeting with the client's property managers and the nominated duty holders to discuss the sites condition and the findings of the asbestos management surveys that had been undertaken.

On completion of the meetings with the client and having reviewed and discussed the findings of the asbestos management surveys within the meetings, a full and complete asbestos management plan was provided to the client detailing the recommendations that had been made by the Ask MAS.co.uk surveying team during the surveys and subsequent timescales for any removal or remedial works required to their property portfolio.

Once the work had been completed the client also requested the help of Ask MAS.co.uk to find suitable licensed asbestos removal contractors to undertake the licensed removal works required onsite with the clients own in house asbestos division carrying out the non-licensed asbestos removal and remedial works in line with the asbestos management surveys and asbestos management plan provided.

                Greenfield Removals Limited

Unit 26, East Terrace, Euxton Lane, Chorley, PR7 6TE

Ask MAS.co.uk were contracted by Greenfield Removals to undertake unannounced licensed asbestos site audits on a number of their sites during their programmed asbestos removal activities.

Ask MAS.co.uk showed due diligence and had already confirmed the scope of the audit with the Greenfield Removal Health and Safety Team prior to attending site, this way the audit could be carried out as per the clients specification and can focus on any specific areas as requested.

The audit started with a desk top review of the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPS) The submitted asbestos notification form (ASB 5), the risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) currently being worked to on the chosen removal site.

This desktop survey ensures that the key information detailed within the reviewed documents are correct and also enables the auditor to build a detailed picture of the site layout and the removal methods being implemented during the planned asbestos removal works prior to attending the site to carry out the next stage of the audit process.

On the day of the audit the site auditor attended site as per the start times listed on the pre sent documentation and met with the nominated site supervisor where he was requested to undertake a site induction prior to entering the nominated work area.

The site audit started with some basic onsite checks of the key information/documentation including plant and equipment being used onsite to undertake asbestos removal work with inspections also being made to the onsite documentation and certification.

The site audit then focussed on the key stages of the removal process ensuring each stage audited met the required standard/guidance and was also in line with the company SOPS.

The site audit was carried out promptly and effectively and did not impact on the site supervisor, so this ensures they could carry out their duties as normal and that the planned works could continue without interruptions.

On completion of the site audit a debrief was supplied to the site supervisor with positive feedback being given regarding the site and site control shown by the site supervisor during the site audit.

The site audit concluded with a detailed photographic report being sent back to the Greenfield Removal Limited Health & Safety department with the report listing the findings of the site audit and any recommendation made by our auditors.

We were given Marks details from a another organisation who recommended that we should speak to him as they believed he could assist us with our requirements.

Having laid out what was required Ask MAS.co.uk updated and simplified our Health and Safety policies and updated and added the relevant items.

Ask MAS.co.uk also designed a basic company database which we have now incorporated as a business which has streamlined the way we do things and simplified the way in which we use to work.

Mark has also assisted DPCivils in becoming approved as a sub-contractor for some larger organisation within our industry which has opened new revenue streams for the business.

We have now asked Ask MAS.co.uk to support DPCivils limited as their external Health and Safety Advisor which can only bolster and improve our working relationship as the business progresses.

If you are looking for some one to provide some assistance when it comes to your Health and Safety requirements, then Marks your man.

Client Feedback:-

We used Ask MAS.co.uk as one of our external auditors due to Mark being time served within the industry as this made for a more practical approach during the audits and ensured that a more detailed audit could be carried out with a better understanding of the removal process and its application.

We also spoke to our site teams on completion of the audits and they also provided some good feedback regarding the onsite approach to the audits carried out by Ask MAS.co.uk.
